Volleyball Collects Four-Set Win Over Lady Demons

ARLINGTON, Texas – UNT volleyball defeated Northwestern State 3-1 (25-18, 23-25, 25-19, 25-13) on Saturday at College Park Center.
The Mean Green (6-2) had four players eclipse double-digit kills against the Lady Demons (1-10) led by Reagan Bedell who posted 14 kills. She added 22 digs for her first career double-double and was supported by senior Alexa Washington as she collected a career-high 29 assists with 13 digs.
Jahniya Jackson finished with 12 kills as she tallied eight in the opening two sets before Bedell exploded for six in the third set. Trailing by one late in the third, the Mean Green extended an 8-1 run to close the frame as junior Loredana Fouonji pushed the game to set point with back-to-back kills before a service error from the Lady Demons clinched the set.
The match was closed with a decisive fourth set which North Texas never trailed. Addison Achilles led all attackers with four kills on six attacks and zero errors and added an ace and a block assist in the frame.
The Mean Green cap the weekend at College Park Center against tournament co-hosts UT Arlington on Sunday at 5 p.m. on ESPN+.
