LEWISVILLE, Texas — UNT has six representatives on the Dave Campbell's Texas Football Midseason All-Texas team, which was released Tuesday morning.
The Mean Green landed two players on the first team in running back Jahiem White and wide receiver Justin Stevenson, while four players made the second team in quarterback Tayven Jackson, offensive lineman Neto Umeozulu, defensive end Davion Rhodes and linebacker Zakye Barker.
The six-player UNT contingent is the most among Group of Six programs in the state.
White has turned into a bell-cow running back for the Mean Green with 687 yards and nine touchdowns on 96 carries. He also has two receiving touchdowns and 23 receptions — good for second on the team.
Stevenson leads the Mean Green in receptions (33), receiving yards (453) and receiving touchdowns (five), including two scores in each of the past two games against Tulsa and Charlotte.
