Football Announces Full 2026 Schedule

Mean Green set to play six home games, six road games and open the season at defending national champion Indiana
DALLAS – The American Conference and the UNT football program led by head coach Neal Brown have revealed the 2026 football schedule.
North Texas will host UNLV, HCU, Charlotte, Florida Atlantic, Rice and UAB at DATCU Stadium and play road contests at defending national champion Indiana, Texas State, Tulsa, Navy, UTSA and Tulane.
After opening the season with four non-conference games at Indiana (Sept. 5), vs. UNLV (Sept. 12), at Texas State (Sept. 19) and vs. Houston Christian (Sept. 26), the Mean Green kick off conference play Thursday, Oct. 1 at Tulsa before hosting Charlotte in its conference home opener on Oct. 10.
The bye week for North Texas will come at the midway point of the season the week of Oct. 17.
Following the bye, UNT will travel to Annapolis, Maryland to take on Navy on Oct. 24 before hosting Florida Atlantic on Thursday, Oct. 29.
UNT will then play host to Rice on Nov. 7 before traveling for back-to-back road games for the only time all season at UTSA on Nov. 14 and at Tulane Nov. 21.
The Mean Green close the regular season against UAB on Nov. 28.
