Track & Field Set for American Indoor Championship

DENTON, Texas — The UNT track and field teams are set to compete at the 2026 American Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships Friday and Saturday at the Birmingham Crossplex.
The Mean Green are in the midst of one of their most successful regular seasons in program history, setting 11 new program records over the course of the five regular-season meets, and several athletes enter the Championship in the top three of their respective events in the field. On the men's side, Chase Lehr has the top time in the 800 going in, Hendrick Hundl has the third-best time in the 60-meter hurdles, UNT has the third-best time in the 4x400 relay, Marcus Kennedy is third in the high jump, Phil Cotton is first in long jump and Olu Williams is tops in shot put. On the women's side, Trezeguet Taylor is ranked second in the 60-meter dash, Aariyana Williams and Kendahl Tucker are second and third, respectively, in the 200 and 400, London Maxwell is third in the 3,000, the Mean Green are first in the 4x400 relay, Alliyah McNeil is second in high jump and long jump and Fabrienne Foster is third in the weight throw.
The American Indoor Championships will get underway at 9 a.m., Friday morning with the women's pentathlon. Field events will begin at noon, while track events are set to begin at 1:05 p.m. with the women's mile. Action on Saturday will resume at 9:15 a.m. and continue through the 4x400-meter relays that are set to conclude the meet at 3:15 p.m.
