DENTON - The UNT track and field team will compete on Friday at the Oklahoma Classic in Norman, Oklahoma, and look to continue its positive momentum after two straight successful meet weekends that featured 10 new program records.
The Mean Green will take a smaller group of competitors to the one-day meet, hosted by the Sooners, in what will be the penultimate tuneup for the American Indoor Championship on Feb. 27-28, in Birmingham, Alabama.
"I'm really looking forward to heading up north to compete at OU," director of track and field Doug Marshall said. "I think this will be a great opportunity for our athletes to maintain some consistency."Â
A handful of program record holders will compete, including two who have put their names in the record book in the past two weeks - Alliyah McNeil (high jump) and Oluwatimilehim Williams (shot put).
