ATLANTA – UNT women's basketball assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Princess Davis was selected to the WBCA Thirty Under 30 presented by Morgan Stanley Global Sports and Entertainment, it was announced Tuesday.
The WBCA Thirty Under 30 program was created to recognize 30 up-and-coming women's basketball coaches aged 30 and under at all levels of the game. The criteria include community service, mentorship or impact on others, professional manner, attitude and professional association involvement.
Now wrapping up her third season on staff, Davis has helped build the program's most successful three-year stretch in history. In her tenure, North Texas has completed three straight 19-win seasons for the first time ever, appeared in two postseason tournaments and captured a share of the American Conference championship in 2024. The Mean Green also lead the American in total wins (67), league wins (39) and All-Conference selections (6) in that span, while setting several single-season program records such as wins (25 in 2025), points per game (74.3 in 2024) and three-pointers made (181 in 2026).
Working primarily with the backcourt, Davis coached Dyani Robinson to the American Conference Sixth Player of the Year award in 2024 and played a key role in recruiting freshman point guard Cherie Spencer, who was ranked the No. 2 player in the state of Louisiana at the time of her signing.
