Football Set for Nov. 7 Homecoming vs. Rice, Sept. 26 Family Weekend vs. HCU

Homecoming returns to DATCU Stadium against Rice, with Family Weekend slated for Sept. 26 vs. Houston Christian
DENTON, Texas – The UNT football program and first year head coach Neal Brown have announced its 80th annual homecoming game will take place Saturday, Nov. 7 against Rice inside DATCU Stadium.
The contest against the Owls will be the third homecoming matchup for the Mean Green all-time against Rice.
UNT has celebrated an annual Homecoming game every season since its inception in 1946. The Mean Green have won seven of their last nine Homecoming matchups and hold a 53-25-1 record all-time.
In addition, Family Weekend is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26 when the Mean Green host Houston Christian.
More details surrounding the events of homecoming weekend and Family Weekend will be announced at a later date. Kickoff times for both contests will be announced 12 days prior to each game.
Season tickets for UNT Football in 2026 are available now. Returning season ticket patrons can renew their current seat locations for all home games. If you would like to renew your 2026 season tickets, you can do so today by logging into your UNT ticket account.
New season tickets are also available to the general public for as little as $80.
Multiple payment plan options are available for new season-ticket purchases and renewals. Various parking options and chair backs are also available as additions.
Season ticket prices for 2026 for the family zone sections has increased by $20 to a total of $100 while prices in the reserved endzone and general admission sections will remain the same as the previous season, providing a fan-friendly pricing option.
Multiple lucky fans who renew their season tickets by the deadline on May 1 will win an exclusive game day experience! For those who have already renewed, you will be automatically entered to win. For those who have not renewed now is the time, only renewed accounts are eligible.
Season ticket holders receive additional benefits including guaranteed seat locations for a potential conference championship game, VIP presale opportunities for away games, bowl games and other events hosted at the stadium.
Season ticket members also receive discounts on additional single-game tickets, the opportunity to resell unused tickets via SeatGeek and access to the Kick Time Guarantee program. Purchasers who renew by the season ticket deadline will also receive an exclusive season ticket holder gift.
