Tennis Earns ITA All-Academic Team Honors for 20th Consecutive Year

Program-record seven Mean Green student-athletes named ITA Scholar-Athletes
DENTON, Texas – The UNT women's tennis program continued its tradition of excellence in the classroom, earning Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team honors for the 20th consecutive year.
The Mean Green also set a new program record with seven student-athletes earning ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition. Stadfany Nformi, Lou Chalard, Carolina Laydner, Lilly Schultz, Giuliana Ciangherotti, Ujin Batsukh and Pia Petelinsek each received the honor after posting a grade point average of at least 3.5 during the academic year while meeting all ITA eligibility requirements. The seven honorees surpass the previous program record of five ITA Scholar-Athletes, which was established in 2025.
The ITA All-Academic Team award recognizes programs that achieve a cumulative team grade point average of at least 3.20 on a 4.00 scale while meeting all ITA eligibility requirements. Every student-athlete listed on the institutional eligibility form and all varsity letter winners are included in the team's cumulative GPA.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must maintain a grade point average of at least 3.5 during the academic year and meet all ITA eligibility requirements.
