Women's Golf Announces 2026-27 Schedule

UNT opens the season as hosts of The Bruzzy on Sept. 8-9 at Trophy Club Country Club
DENTON, Texas – The Mean Green women's golf team and head coach Michael Akers announced its 2026-27 schedule on Tuesday.
"I am thrilled with the schedule we put together for this year," Akers said. "This may be the best schedule in the history of our program. We will face some incredible competition as usual, but we also will play some amazing courses."
The schedule features 10 total tournaments which includes The Bruzzy at Trophy Club Country Club on Sept. 8-9 to begin the slate. Five of this season's events will be held in Texas while the team will travel to the Dominican Republic Classic at Cocotal Golf & Country Club on Jan. 31-Feb. 2 in Punta Cana.
"We are excited to bring The Bruzzy back this year," Akers added. "Our plan is to alternate The Bruzzy with the Sam Golden Invitational on the same dates to ensure the best field possible. Bruzzy and Sam have been instrumental in our success, and we cannot thank them enough. I love hosting to start the year as we are able to prepare and learn the host course."
After hosting the season opening tournament at Trophy Club Country Club, the Mean Green will face Murray State College for the second-consecutive season at Dornick Hills Country Club in Ardmore, Okla., on Sept. 25.
UNT then travels to Fayetteville, Ark., for the Blessings Collegiate Invitational at Blessings Golf Club on Oct. 3-5, before it finishes the fall at the Jim West Challenge on Oct. 18-19, hosted by Texas State at Kissing Tree Golf Club.
The Mean Green will return on Jan. 31, at the Dominican Republic Classic hosted by Purdue ahead of the Chevron Collegiate on Feb. 22-23, from The Golf Club of Houston.
In March, North Texas travels to the Jackrabbits Invitational at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nev., before returning to Texas for the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate Invitational at Colonial Country Club on March 22-23.
The final tournament of the regular season is The "Mo"Morial on April 5-6, at Traditions Golf Club in College Station.
For the fifth straight season, the American Conference Championship will be held at Southern Hills Golf Club in Brooksville, Fla., on April 19-21, ahead of the NCAA Regionals on May 3-5, and NCAA Finals on May 25-June 2, in Carlsbad, Calif.
