White Named Comeback Player of the Month

DENTON - UNT senior running back Jahiem White was named on Tuesday as the Offensive Comeback Player of the Month for September, presented by the Comeback Player of the Year Award.
White has been a standout this month for the Mean Green, rushing for 363 yards on 52 carries (7.0 yards per carry) and seven touchdowns. He's also been a big receiving threat out of the backfield with 143 yards on 19 catches and a pair of scores. He leads UNT in both rushing and receiving touchdowns.
White leads the American Conference in all-purpose yards per game and is 19th nationally, and his seven rushing touchdowns ranks first in the conference and fourth nationally. He's also ranked first in the American and second nationally in scoring at 13.5 points per game and total points scored (54). His nine total touchdowns through four games is second nationally to Florida State's Jadan Baugh (11).
White missed the last nine games of last season with a knee injury when he was at West Virginia and is in his first season with the Mean Green.
