Claborn suffered a knee injury and missed five games as a backup linebacker... Had three tackles in his eight games.
2001
Claborn provided valuable depth at linebacker and on special teams. He finished with 14 tackles, including a season-high four stops against TCU in the season opener.
2000
Was a standout special teams player and saw some action at linebacker. He registered one tackle against Texas Tech.
High School/Personal
Was a starter at both running back and linebacker for Apache High School. He had 110 carries for 1,289 yards and 18 touchdowns and 12 receptions for 222 yards his senior year. On defense Claborn had 153 tackles, 101 of those solo, 32 tackles for loss, two interceptions, four caused fumbles and three recovered fumbles. For his career he had 352 carries for 4,489 yards and 42 touchdowns. He also had 58 receptions for 892 yards and 12 touchdowns. Defensively he had 385 tackles, 89 tackles for loss eight interceptions, 11 caused fumbles and nine recovered fumbles. He was a special recognition all-state pick at linebacker by The Daily Oklahoman and the Lawton Constitution Journal. He was a Class A all-star running back and offensive Player of the Year in his district. As a junior he was an honorable mention all-state pick and was a first team all-area pick at linebacker. Coached by Larry McDaniel.
