Bryan Kegans

Bryan Kegans joined the UNT staff as Director of Strength and Conditioning in December 2022. He added the title of Assistant Head Football Coach in March 2023.
In that role, he serves as the lead strength and conditioning coach for the UNT Football program while overseeing the rest of UNT’s strength and condition staff that works with the Mean Green’s other athletics programs.
Kegans came to UNT following on year as associate director of football sports performance at USC. He has spent the previous four seasons at Oklahoma, where he was assistant director of sports performance and director of sports science.
In his time in Norman, the Sooners won three Big 12 titles and made two appearances in the College Football Playoff.
He was also a strength and conditioning coach at Texas (2013) and TWU (2011-13). The Stephenville native has high school experience at Fulshear and Denton Guyer.
He was an offensive lineman at Texas Tech from 2002-05 and earned his bachelor's degree in 2005. He received his master's degree from A.T. Still University in 2010.
Kegans holds certifications from CSCCA (collegiate strength and conditioning coaches association), SCCC (strength & conditioning coach certified), NSCA (strength and conditioning specialist), and NASM (performance enhancement specialist, corrective exercise specialist and functional movement specialist).
He and his wife, JoAnna have a son, Kelly, and a daughter, Kaci.
