Charlie Brewer was hired as an Offensive Graduate Assistant working directly with quarterbacks for UNT football in March of 2025.
Brewer joined the UNT staff after spending the 2024 season as a quality control coach at Bowling Green.
In his one season with the Falcons, Bowling Green finished with seven wins and earned a spot in the 68 Ventures Bowl against Arkansas State.
A standout quarterback himself, Brewer played collegiately at Liberty, Utah and Baylor.
In six seasons of his playing career, Brewer appeared in 50 games and threw for over 10,000 yards and 68 touchdowns while also rushing for over 1,000 yards.
Brewer was a standout at Baylor, finishing his career ranked second in Bears history in career passing yards (9,700) and touchdowns passes (65) while also becoming just the second player in Baylor history to go over 10,000 yards (9,700 passing and 1,039 rushing).
In his four seasons at Baylor, Brewer helped lead the Bears to a pair of bowl game appearances, including the 2020 Sugar Bowl. He also quarterbacked Baylor to the 2020 Big 12 Championship game while being named a semifinalist for the Davey O’Brien Award.
Among his other on-field accomplishments with the Bears are being named a finalist for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award in 2019, an Honorable Mention All-Big 12 selection in 2019 and the Big 12 Co-Freshman of the Year in 2017.
Brewer achieved his bachelor’s degree from Baylor in December of 2020.
