Isaac Bails joined the UNT Football staff in March 2023. He serves as a graduate assistant on defense.
Prior to coming to Denton, Bails was the defensive line coach at NCAA Division III Birmingham-Southern College in 2022. Under his guidance Garrett Smith was named second team all-conference after finishing the season with 38 tackles, 8.5 TFL and 6.0 sacks.
Bails previously spent the 2021 season coaching at West Feliciana Parish Schools in St. Franisville, LA. Prior to coaching at West Feliciana, Bails was the Assistant Defensive Line Coach for Catholic High School in Baton Rouge, LA for two seasons from 2019-20. During his time at Catholic High, the Bears were Louisiana 5A State Runner-Ups in 2019 and Louisiana 5A State Champions in 2020.
As a player, Bails was a defensive end at Delta State University where he received a Health, Physical Education and Recreation degree in 2017.
Bails is a native from Ripley, Miss. He is married to Laticia and together they have a son, Dreyden.
