Marielle McLoughlin

Marielle McLoughlin was named the Director of Football Operations for UNT football in January of 2026.
McLoughlin joined UNT after spending four seasons at the University of Houston Football as its Assistant Director of Recruiting Operations & Player Development.
In her role at UH, McLoughlin arranged team travel including schedules, charter flight assignments, bus and hotel accommodations. She also coordinated various program activities and plans all details of special fundraising events such as the Head Coach Golf Tournament and Women’s Clinic.
McLoughlin was a key figure in Houston’s involvement within the community including partnerships with local organizations such as Get-in-the Game Program and Field Day. She also tracked student-athlete off-campus housing, designs recruiting presentations and organizes and filters student-athlete ticket requests among other responsibilities.
Prior to Houston, McLoughlin spent over two years at Mississippi State including her final year as Coordinator of Recruiting Operations where she assisted in all official and unofficial visits, facilitated all visits, game day, camps, clinics and special event set up and organized recruit and high school game day ticket requests among other responsibilities.
McLoughlin worked as the Bulldogs’ Operations Assistant from June 2019-May 2021, serving as the primary contact for the Athletic Business Office to the Football program. There, she monitored all procurement card purchases, drafted hotel and bus contracts and managed all aspects of team travel in addition to other assignments.
She worked as a Marketing Intern at Mississippi State from June-August 2018 with a specific focus on women’s soccer before spending 10 months at her alma mater, Syracuse, as a Team Equipment Manager, where she assisted coaches during practices, games and operations while overseeing all defensive backs needs during practice.
McLoughlin began her sports experience as a Social Media Intern with the Brewster Whitecaps Baseball Club in Brewster, Mass., from June-August 2017. There, she was the team liaison to the Cape Cod Baseball League and increased the team’s social media following by 175% on Instagram and 150% on Twitter. She also volunteered at the SEC Baseball Tournament in 2019 as a Marketing Intern, coordinating sponsorships, developing game scripts and helping deliver on-time in-game elements.
McLoughlin received her Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Syracuse University’s David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics in 2019. She earned a minor in Sport Revenue Management & Operations.
