Emma Shaddix was named assistant coach and director of operations for the UNT volleyball program in April 2026.

Shaddix joined the Mean Green after two seasons as an assistant coach at NCAA Division II Seattle Pacific University under head coach Jason Rhine. The Falcons totaled 22 wins over her two seasons there.

In spring 2024, Shaddix began her collegiate coaching career as a graduate assistant at Colorado Mesa under current UNT head coach Dave Fleming after playing her final season with the Mavericks in fall 2023. Shaddix was named to the All-Conference Second Team during her lone season, finishing the year with 208 kills and a .311 hitting average in 26 matches.

She played her first four collegiate seasons at Florida Southern College where she competed in both court and beach. From 2019-22, Shaddix tallied 332 kills, 115 blocks and 425.5 total points over 66 career matches in indoor competition. As a senior, Shaddix helped Florida Southern qualify for the 2022 NCAA Division II Tournament as the No. 7 seed in the South Region. She also earned selection to the Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll in 2021.

A native of Jupiter, Fla., Shaddix graduated from Jupiter Christian School in 2018.
