Clark Named Sun Belt Conference Athlete Of The Week

DENTON (4/24/03) - Senior sprinter Ananka Clark has been named the Sun Belt Conference Athlete of the Week for her performance over the weekend at the TCU Invitational. Clark set a new school record in the 100 meter dash at 11.54 and had the second fastest time in school history in the 200 meter dash at 23.82.

Clark also qualified for the NCAA regional in both the 100 and 200 meter dash. Clark has also qualified for the NCAA regional as part of the North Texas 4X100 relay team.

Her time in the 100 and 200 meter dash is the third fastest time in the Sun Belt Conference this season. The North Texas track and field team is back in action April 26 at the Rice Twilight.
