Track Set To Host Brooks/North Texas Spring Classic

The field includes three teams ranked on the Trackwire 25 (Texas Tech men 7th, TCU men T15th, Baylor men T18th), and numerous athletes listed among the nation’s best.
Several Mean Green athletes seem to be hitting their strides just in time for the first of two home meets. Last weekend, Brandi Stanfield recorded the nation’s third best long jump and fifth best triple jump of the year in her first collegiate outdoor attempts. The indoor All-American put up a North Texas and Sun Belt record triple jump of 44-feet-3-1/2-inches, toppling the previous conference mark by nine inches and the school record by over 2-1/2-feet.
The freshman was only a quarter of an inch away from the Sun Belt long jump record with her leap of 20-feet-10-1/2-inches. Stanfield, who won Section B of the long jump, was second only to
