Stanfield finished 11th at nationals with a leap of 42-feet-2-3/4-inches, but earned all-America status due to her eighth place finish among American athletes. Her jump at the NCAA's was well short of her personal best of 43-feet-5-1/4-inches that she set at the Sun Belt Indoor Championships.

The men’s 4x400-meter relay team was only fractions of a second away from reaching the finals at the nation’s premier meet. The squad finished 14th with a time of 3:10.15, only three-tenths of a second away from the final qualifying slot. The mark was even closer to the Regional qualifying mark, which the relay team missed by fifteen-thousandths of a second.
