Strong Paces North Texas At South Central Regional

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (11/10/07) He lived up to his name all year long and Patrick Strong closed out the season out in 41^st place at the South Central Regional and the Mean Green finished in 10^th place.

North Texas entered the meet ranked 12^th in the region but thanks to the performances by Strong, Frank Ngeno, and Billy Giano the Mean Green finished in the top 10.

Strong had a time of 31:43 in the 10k race to lead North Texas. Ngeno clocked a time of 32:05 and Giano was just behind at 32:08.

On the women’s side the Mean Green did not take a full team to the regional but had three runners competing. Freshman Sallie Anderson had the best time of the 6k race for the Mean Green at 24:21. Emily Sotelo was just seconds behind her at 24:27 and Michelle Gallegos ran a time of 24:36.
