Mean Green Concludes ISU Classic

AMES, Iowa (2/10/07) The Mean Green track and field team wrapped up its biggest pre-conference meet at the Iowa State Classic on Saturday.
High jumper Mark Lee turned in the best finish of the meet for the Mean Green with his fourth-place finish. He nailed 6-09.75 on his second jump to claim his place in the rankings in an event won by Kansas State’s Scott Sellers.
Brandi Stanfield struggled in the long jump by only registering one jump in six tries; however, her leap of 40-05.00 was good enough for eighth place overall after provisionally qualifying for the NCAA championships last week at the J.D. Martin Invitational.
The Mean Green will be back in action next weekend when it makes its second trip to Norman, Okla. for the Sooner Invitational.
