Mean Green Trio Set For Last Chance At Qualifying

Sophomore triple jumper Brandi Stanfield is looking to make her second consecutive trip to the national meet, but will have to improve on her NCAA provisional-qualifying mark of 12.75 meters (41 feet, 10 inches) to make the journey. Stanfield had already provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships at the J.D. Martin Invitational with a mark of 12.71 meters, but improved that mark by winning the Sun Belt Conference indoor title on Sunday. Last season Stanfield took 11th place at nationals and was the only freshman to compete at the meet.

Lee will be attempting to qualify for the first time for the national meet, and has had his shots at the provisional qualifying mark along the way as well. Lee jumped a season best 2.11 meters at the Texas Tech Invitational, and that mark still stands as the second best in the conference this season.
