On the women’s side sophomore Lauren Wiggins had a time of 14.25 in the preliminaries of the 100-meter hurdles but failed to qualify for the finals. Senior high-jumper Ryan Hill cleared 5-7 to finish in 11th place while Heather Wood had a toss of 45-10.50 in the shot put.
For the men freshman Patrick Strong had a standout performance in the 5,000-meter run. Strong finished in 10th place with a time of 15:03.29. The 4x100 relay team clocked in at 41.43 to finish in third place in their preliminary heat, but did not advance to the finals.
The final day of the Texas Relays begins tomorrow morning at 8 a.m.
