North Texas Trackster Honored With Weekly SBC Accolades

One week after Lauren Wiggins set a school record in the 60-meter hurdles, teammate Ciara Smith followed suite with a school record of her own. Smith, a sophomore from Round Rock,
The time was a full second-and-a-half faster than Smith’s previous season best. As if one school record wasn’t enough, Smith aimed for her second record of the day in the 200-meter dash.
The sophomore from Round Rock finished second in the 200 dash with a personal-best time of 24.45; just four-hundredth of a second off the school record. Smith's times were the fastest in the Sun Belt so far this season in both the 200 and 400-meter dash.
