DENTON, Texas (2/22/08) The North Texas track and field team will head north this weekend to compete in the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships in Murfreesboro, Tenn..
The Mean Green women will be looking to improve on last year’s fourth place finish.
The Mean Green of North Texas will hope to pick up momentum with the help of sprinters Lauren Wiggins and Ciara Smith. Wiggins is first in the SBC in the 55 meter hurdles with an NCAA provisional time and fifth in the 55-meter dash. Wiggins’ also possesses the 10th fastest mark in the nation in the 60-meter hurdles with time of 8.25.
