Anyone out there wanna know what's going on at the football stadium construction site? I thought so. Well your wait is over as we are ready to unveil the camera that will monitor the progress of the construction from now until pretty much then end July 2011.
A few items of note about this camera first....I said camera, not webcam is the first thing. Here's the deal, this is not a surveillance camera that you could find in a 7-11, there won't be continuous movement of the workers, trucks, earthmovers, etc....
Okay now that your done yelling at the computer (I did the same at first too) let me tell you why this is better than a 24/7 webcam.
The camera is mounted atop of AC to give you more of a time-lapse view of the construction. The camera will capture images every few minutes, say around every 15 minutes or so, and you can view them accordingly.
Oh yeah it also has a few other tools at your disposal such as.....
- A save photo feature
- Print photo feature
- Email photo feature
- Full screen image
- Split screen image
- Overlay image
- Image Zoom
Go wild with this, it's pretty cool. I've been goofing off on it for a good hour (after climbing on the roof to help mount the thing) since it's been active. Sorry state of Texas, I will not be returning that hour of work either.
Quick pretty cool feature, go check out the construction during the day, and then compare it to the pictures in the early morning hours. Pretty impressive.
