North Texas Finishes 5th At Texas Invite

AUSTIN, Texas- North Texas completed the Texas Invite on Saturday with a 5th place finish at the meet, besting Wyoming who was receiving votes in the national poll, and 7th-ranked mid-major UC Davis, as well as Sydney (Australia) University.
Leanne Hill posted a North Texas season-best 2:04.67 in the 200-yard backstroke prelims, en route to a 15th place finish in the event. Seabre Pope swam a 51.73 in the 100 freestyle, just missing setting the North Texas record by 0.57 seconds. Rosita Bado finished 23rd in the 200-yard breaststroke with a 2:24.23 , a North Texas season-best. Erika Roach won the 'C' final heat of the 200-yard butterfly with a 2:04.26, also a North Texas season-best.
The Mean Green return to the pool on December 18th at Florida Gulf Coast. North Texas also takes on St. Thomas (Minn.) that day.
