Johnson captured the top jump in the men's high jump, leaping a distance of 2.09 meters, which is a season long and puts him .01 meters behind the top jump in the Sun Belt Conference.

Matt Russ continued running well, turning in a third place finish in the 1,500 meter run with a time of 4:00.96.
In the women's heptathlon, Chelsea Hermes turned in her highest finish of the season. She finished in second with a point total of 3,987.
Senior Ashley Austin turned in another top three finish as well. She was able to capture second in the women's long jump, airing out a distance of 5.94 meters.
Missy Barnes edged out teammate Brittany Blaylock in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.81 seconds. Barnes secured seventh place, while Blaylock turned in a time of 11.88 seconds for eighth.
North Texas will return to action at home May 7-9 when it plays host to the Sun Belt Conference Championship.
