Green Gang: Apperance Changes Continue

As many of you may have noticed Friday and Saturday of this past week brought another significant change to the stadium site. A large tower crane was assembled and stands approximately 180 feet tall. The crane will be used by the structural contractors to hoist all of the tools and equipment necessary to build the west building of the stadium.
Just how big is it? I can see the crane from more than five miles away on my drive in, it's a man-sized crane.
Utility workers continue to adjust old utility lines and install new ones to accommodate the new facility. The photo album above shows progress made with walls that have just been finished in the last few days. These are the first of many to come.
Workers continue to rework the pond on the northwest corner of the property. Renovations to the pond will include new landscaping and a new configuration to assist with drainage.
Pier drilling crews have moved to the north side concourse after completing the west side. They will continue to work around the bowl in a clockwise direction. The excavation contractor continues to rework the contours and moisture condition the soil.
Look closely in the album for a picture that shows the south side of the old Radisson. You may be able to see that many of the windows are missing. The demolition workers for the Radisson are throwing items from the rooms out of the windows for disposal.
Ahh to have that job someday.
