As you can tell, it's an extended weekend for the construction crew of the new football stadium, but a well deserved one as you tell by the progress they have made in only 165 days since construction began.
We still got a chance to sneak out there before the break to squeeze a few pictures of the latest round of progress from the ground.
On the west side, progress continues on the rakers and the event levels themselves, moving from right-to-left on the camera. In the next week or so you will see two more rakers get poured along with some more slab on grade in restrooms and concession stands.
On the north side, the wing section, the pouring of the concrete continues and we can't wait to watch that portion of the stadium come up out of the ground. Start thinking about a nick-name for that section now folks, it's gonna need something snazzy.
On the east side, just tucked away from the camera's lens, the visiting locker room is taking shape along with utilities for concessions and restrooms.
And no doubt you have seen the drilling of the piers for the scoreboard which will go right in front of the AC. In the coming days and weeks keep an eye out for some final prep work to occur at the field level (draining of the lake first) and the formation of the club level.
