Green Gang: Golf Hits The Newstands Today

If you happen to be by a newsstand this week or a Barnes and Nobles, make sure to pick up a copy of Golfweek. The resurgence of the North Texas men's golf team has been years in the making and its starting to get attention. Golfweek has a great spread in the magazine this week and online about the rebuilding of the legendary program by Coach Brad Stracke.
I haven't had a chance to see the magazine spread, but I'm told it's pretty nice. The Mean Green, ranked No. 31 currently, faces pretty stout competition coming up tomorrow. They are spending spring break in Florida first, playing at the Seminole Intercollegiate. Then taking a day to play a round of golf at the famed TPC Sawgrass course, then it's off to the desert to play in the 2011 Desert Shootout next week.
