Adams Named SBC Runner of the Week

DENTON, Texas (09/21/12) - North Texas women's cross-country senior Jo Adams was named Runner of the Week by the Sun Belt Conference, the league announced Wednesday.
Adams placed fourth in the women's 5K race behind ranked opponents from No. 5 SMU and No. 7 TCU at the Ken Garland Invitational on Saturday, September 15. Adams finished with a time of 17:37.31, placing first among Mean Green runners. It was Adams first cross-country race as a Mean Green runner after an impressive track and field season.
The Mean Green cross-country teams will travel to Stillwater, Okla. Saturday, September 29 for the Cowboy Jamboree.
