Distance Runners Success Continues

NORWALK, Calf. (4/20/13) – The North Texas distance runners carried the success from the Mt. SAC Relays to the Long Beach State Invitational on Saturday bringing home three personal-best times.
Jo Adams captured a third-place finish in the women’s 800-meter run with a personal best of 2:07.29. Adams cut more than two seconds off her previous time. Adams now stands in second in school history.
Christina Taylor placed 19th in the women’s 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:37.16 just two days after running the 3,000 meters at the Mt. SAC Relays.
Matt Russ shaved off nearly three seconds off his time at the Mt. SAC Relays to run a personal best 3:46.55 in the men’s 1,500-meter run. Russ now stands in second in school history.
Silvester Harrison ran a personal best 15:03.92 crossing the line 12th in the men’s 5,000-meter run. Harrison cut off nearly 16 seconds from his time at the Texas Relays.
The North Texas track & field team returns to action when it travels to Des Moines, Iowa, for the 104th Drake Relays April 24-28.
