Five-For-Five: 1960s - Missouri Valley Days

The last North Texas helmet to not have a logo was worn from the late 1950s into the mid 1960s. It was white with the player's number on the sides, and was worn by players like Abner Haynes, Joe Greene, and Vidal Carlin.
In the early 60s, the helmet was combined with all-green jersey and pants. At times, the pants had a white double stripe down the sides of the legs, and the jersey had four white stripes around the shoulder and again at the end of the sleeves. Other years, the jersey and pants were more basic, with no stripes.
