Nominations Open for 2026 UNT Athletics Hall of Fame Class

DENTON, Texas – UNT Athletics on behalf of the Mean Green for Life Letterwinners Association is now accepting nominations for the 2026 UNT Athletics Hall of Fame. Hall of Fame nominations may be submitted by anyone regardless of affiliation with UNT Athletics or the Letterwinners Association.

Criteria for nominees are as follows:

Nominee should be a former North Texas student-athlete, coach, manager/athletic trainer, administrator, or special contributor.
Nominee's playing eligibility (if applicable) should be exhausted for no less than 5 years to be eligible for consideration.
Nominee should have made substantial impact on his or her individual sport or the UNT Athletic department.
Nominee should be in good standing with both the University of North Texas and UNT Athletics.
While not a requirement, stronger consideration will be given to former student-athletes who are UNT graduates.

All nominations should be submitted no later than Thursday, April 30th for review at the annual Hall of Fame Committee meeting. Each nominee will be discussed on a case-by-case basis among members of the committee, which is comprised of UNT Athletics Hall of Famers, Letterwinners Association staff, the President of the Letterwinners Association's Board of Directors, and other UNT Athletics contributors and historians.
