UNT Athletics Announces May 13 Groundbreaking for Athletic Center Expansion and State of the Department

DENTON, Texas – UNT Vice President and Director of Athletics Jared Mosley has announced a ceremonial groundbreaking for Phase I of the expansion of the UNT Athletic Center and the Weger Family Strength and Conditioning Center, along with the department's annual State of the Department address, both set for May 13.

The groundbreaking ceremony will take place from 10:30–11:30 a.m. and marks a significant step forward in enhancing resources for Mean Green student-athletes. The expansion reflects UNT Athletics' continued commitment to Building Champions and Preparing Leaders.

Immediately following the ceremony, Mosley will deliver the State of the Department address, highlighting recent accomplishments, outlining strategic priorities, and looking forward at the future for UNT Athletics. A complimentary lunch will be provided in the DATCU Stadium Hub Club beginning at approximately 12 p.m.

Both events are open to the public, with fans, supporters, and members of the Mean Green community encouraged to attend and be part of this important day for UNT Athletics. Anyone who plans on attending should RSVP for one or both events here.
