DENTON - The North track and field teams will look to post top times in the 91st Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays beginning Wednesday through Saturday at Mike A. Myers Stadium.
The Mean Green will not compete until Thursday evening when freshman Shane Bracken and sophomore Tim Jones participate in the 1500-meter run at 7:30 p.m. Senior Christina Moralez will take part in the 5000-meter run at 9 p.m. followed by senior Mike Lowe and sophomore Florian Lussy in the 5000m run at 9:30 p.m.
On Friday, March 30, the sprinters will get a chance to compete in the 100-meter dash preliminaries. Freshman Darien Porter and senior Alford Tribble will compete on the men's side with Taylor Blackshire and Bria Williams on the women's side. Sophomore Kristyn Archuleta will participate in javelin at 11:30 a.m. in section A.
On Saturday, March 31, sophomore Breanna Eckels will take part in long jump at 3 p.m. and junior Rea Iseli will run in the 1500-meter event at 3:35 p.m.
For the seventh year in a row, Longhorn Network will provide extensive coverage. LHN will air 13.5 hours of coverage with 10.5 of it live during the meet.
The Texas relays is one of the largest track and field events annually with 2,231 collegiate athletes competing and 195 college teams represented.
