UNT Seeks Fans’ Feedback, Ideas

DENTON - Wren Baker wants you, Mean Green fans.
North Texas' Vice President and Director of Athletics has been listening to Mean Green fans since his arrival in Denton in 2016. To enhance those lines of communication, Baker is giving fans a direct line to provide feedback by creating a system that will allow the athletic department to take advantage of fans' collective brain power, hear their opinions, understand their perspective, and increase their contributions to the continued growth and success of Mean Green Athletics.
"The momentum and growth of our athletic programs is a direct result of the support of our fans," Baker said. "It is important that we continue to seek feedback so we can improve in every area. To help accomplish this we are introducing the first-ever fan-generated work order system. This system allows fans to share areas where we can improve. We will update completed work orders regularly so you can see the changes you are making. With your help, we'll continue to light the tower!"
The innovative and easy-to-use system is installed on meangreensports.com, and it consists of two parts:
- The Work Order Request Form, which allows fans to voice their opinions, bring attention to issues, and request work be done. The digital form is styled on paper maintenance request forms, allowing fans to identify specific areas of concern.
- The Request Status Page, which shows an overview of actionable requests and updates on progress the athletic department is taking.
The Request Status page gives the system a level of transparency not seen in other feedback systems and builds on the accountability of the Mean Green Strategic Plan website, which not only detailed the areas of focus that Baker and his leadership team addressed shortly after their arrival at UNT but also displays the progress made on those initiatives.
The form and the status page can be accessed on meangreensports.com through the FEEDBACK drop-down menu found on every page on site. The form can also be reached at meangreensports.com/workorder, and the request form at meangreensports.com/requeststatus.
Once a request is received, the task will be evaluated, an action plan developed, and that plan will be distributed to the appropriate personnel. The task will be entered into the Request Status page along with its progress and ultimate resolution.
