Archuleta Takes First At ACU

ABILENE – Five Mean Green placed for North Texas track and field Friday evening as three events took place to begin the Wes Kittley Invitational hosted by Abilene Christian.
Kristyn Archuleta took top honors in javelin with a throw of 46.34 meters. Zion Hill notched second place at 64.85, and Kendall Maples threw 40.37 to finish sixth.
In the 5,000-meter run, Alex Cleveland ran a 15:17.49 for fifth place, and Haley Walker took eighth in discus with a mark of 47.28.
Events continue Saturday beginning with field events at 9:30 a.m. followed by running at 12:20 p.m.
