UNT Begins K.T. Woodman Classic

WICHITA, Kan. – A handful of North Texas track and field student-athletes competed Friday at the K.T. Woodman Classic hosted by Wichita State at Cessna Stadium.
Darrian Johnson earned a fourth place finish in the 800 with a time of 2:19.69. Sydney Rogers threw the javelin 41.85 meters, a personal record, for fifth place.
In the distance races, Matthew Morgan finished fifth in the 3000-meter steeplechase in a time of 9:46.82. Aubrey Schmidt posted her best 1500-meter time at UNT with an eighth place finish in 4:47.71. In the 5000-meter run, Jennifer White concluded in 18thplace with a time of 18.31.32.
The Mean Green compete on the final day of the Classic Saturday with field events beginning at 11 a.m. and running events at 11:45.
