Archuleta Tabbed C-USA Field Athlete Of Week

DALLAS – Kristyn Archuleta was named the Conference USA Female Field Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Texas Relays, the league office announced Tuesday.

Archuleta moved to the top of the C-USA ranks in the javelin with a throw of 49.62 meters at the highly competitive meet and recorded a season-best with her sixth place throw.Â

The junior from Alamogordo, New Mexico, becomes the second Mean Green to earn this honor as Bailey Ashmore was the first UNT recipient last season.
