Winn Earns Postgrad Scholarship

DALLAS – Hannah Winn of North Texas track and field is a 2019 recipient of the Jim Castañeda Postgraduate Scholarship awarded by Conference USA Monday.
Dr. Castañeda served Rice University for 46 years as an educator, coach and Faculty Athletics Representative before he passed away in November 2008. In its 11thyear, the honor annually awards the $4,000 Postgraduate Scholarships to graduates as selected by the C-USA Faculty Athletics Representatives and approved by the Board of Directors.
Winn competed in pole vault event for four years with the Mean Green and cleared a collegiate-best height of 3.50 meters at the 2016 C-USA Outdoor Championships for seventh place. The Denton native earned a 3.74 GPA in kinesiology and is applying to several physical therapy graduate programs around Texas.
