Iseli Earns Silver at Swiss Nationals

BASEL, SWITZERLAND – North Texas graduate Rea Iseli earned her first medal post-graduation, taking second in the 5000-meter run at the 2019 Swiss Nationals.
Iseli clocked a 16:33.80 in the final to take home silver.
"It was a fantastic race for Rea and we are extremely proud of her," North Texas head coach Kevin Williams said.
Iseli graduated in May after earning first team All-Conference and All-South Central Region honors during her final season with the Mean Green. She holds the second-best 5K time in North Texas history with a 17:15.94, which she clocked in 2018.
The Tauffelen, Switzerland, native made the university's President's List for the Fall 2017, Spring 2018 and Fall 2018 semesters, and received the C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medal for the 2017-2018 academic year.
