Day One At Houston Invite

HOUSTON – North Texas track and field completed Day One of the Houston G5 & Super 22 Invitational Friday inside Yeoman Fieldhouse.
Samir Williams ran to fourth place in the 60-meter dash in a time of 6.79 seconds, and Karlington Anunagba took fourth in 6.82. Taylor Blackshire and Kayla McDonald competed in qualifying rounds and moved onto the prelims with respective times of 7.69 and 7.71.
Aneesa Scott finished third in the 'A' section of the 400-meter dash by clocking a 54.74, while Baylee Nelson ran the 800 in 2:15.28 to finish fifth. Chris Samaniego placed seventh in weight throw with a toss of 16.88 meters.
The Mean Green conclude the Houston Invite tomorrow with field events beginning at 12:30 p.m. and running at 2:15 p.m.
