Cross Country Lands Three On All-Academic Teams

DALLAS – Three North Texas cross country student-athletes were represented on the 2020 C-USA Men's and Women's Cross Country All-Academic Teams released by the league office Tuesday.
Caleb Bouchard, Logan Mitchell and Erika Barrett were three of the 12 student-athletes awarded as eight schools were represented with UNT and Rice leading the league with three honorees each.
This is Bouchard's second stint as he was also named to the team last year. The junior has a 4.0 GPA in biomedical engineering within the Honors College and minors in mathematics and biological sciences. The Trophy Club native earned Third Team All-Conference this season by finishing 15th at the C-USA Championships and took the title in the 4-mile at UTA Invite. Bouchard is on the President's List and the C-USA Honor Roll along with being a C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medal recipient.
Mitchell has a 4.0 GPA in psychology within the Honors College and a minor in philosophy.
The sophomore from Keller clocked a personal best in the 8K to finish 26th at the C-USA Championships and placed 10th in the 4-mile at the UTA Invite. Mitchell is on the President's List and the C-USA Honor Roll along with being a C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medal recipient.
Barrett, a sophomore, has a 4.0 GPA in biology within the Honors College and a minor in chemistry. The Keller native ran to Third Team All-Conference honors in a personal best time to finish 18th at the C-USA Championships and came in first in the 2-mile at the UTA Invite. Barrett is on the President's List and the C-USA Honor Roll along with being a C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medal recipient.
