C-USA Championships Begin Wednesday

DENTON — The 2020 Air Force Reserve Conference USA Basketball Championships presented by Baylor Scott & White Sports Performance Center begin Wednesday at The Star in Frisco.
The Mean Green women's basketball team (12-18, 6-12 C-USA) enters the league tournament as the 11th-seed and will face 6th-seed Charlotte (20-9, 11-7 C-USA) at 2 p.m. on Wednesday on Court B. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN+ and the Mean Green Sports Network (88.1 FM KNTU).
North Texas' men's basketball team won the C-USA regular season championship and earned the No. 1 overall seed in its tournament. With a top-four seeding, UNT (20-11, 14-4 C-USA) received a first round bye and won't play its first tournament game until Thursday. The Mean Green will face the winner of No. 8 Old Dominion and No. 9 Florida Atlantic on Thursday at 6 p.m. CT on court A. The game will be broadcasted on Stadium and the Mean Green Sports Network (95.3 FM KHYI). In its only meetings against the Monarchs and Owls this season, North Texas beat ODU 64-47 on Feb. 15 and beat FAU 81-58 on Jan. 11. Both wins came at home.
