North Texas Places 53 on Academic Medal List

DENTON – Conference USA commissioner Judy MacLeod announced Friday that 53 North Texas student-athletes have been named to the Commissioner’s Academic Medal list - the highest academic achievement awarded by the league.
Medals are given to those C-USA student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better during the 2019-20 academic year.
The Mean Green men’s and women’s cross country team had the most honorees with 10, seven from the women’s team and three from the men’s team. The women’s golf team had the highest percentage of honorees with four of its seven team members receiving the recognition. The women’s soccer team had six student-athletes honored, giving it the second-most for any North Texas team.
The 53 Mean Green student-athletes that were awarded this year is 17 more than were named to the same list last year.
