Volleyball falls to UTEP in straight sets

EL PASO — Despite 18 kills from senior Rhett Robinson, North Texas found itself on the wrong side of a sweep, falling to UTEP in straight sets (17-25, 20-25, 22-25) on Saturday afternoon.
The Mean Green hit just .176 as a team, while the Miners managed a .371 attack percentage in the match.
Andrea Owens added seven kills, while Avery McCrillis added three of her own. Aleeyah Galdeira helped pace the defensive effort with a team high 20 digs.
Kaliegh Skopal led the setting effort with 18 assists in the match.
North Texas closes out their regular season on Sunday, November 7 at 1 p.m. in their second matchup against UTEP.
