ABILENE – North Texas track and field returns to action Wednesday to compete in the Oliver Jackson Twilight Invitational hosted by Abilene Christian at Elmer Gray Stadium.
Field events begin at 10 a.m. followed by track events at 4:30 p.m.
"The competition this week at Abilene Christian will be for those athletes possible recovering from injury or maybe have not gotten a chance to compete in their alternate event," director of track and field Carl Sheffield said. "We want to try and give everyone an opportunity for making the conference team.
"It's a short turnaround from Baylor but much needed for those that have not competed. It should be good competition and will likely be against some of the teams we have competed against recently."
