Shaffer Named Field Athlete of the Week

DALLAS – Jaleisa Shaffer of North Texas was named the Conference USA Female Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office Friday.
At the UTA Invitational April 3, Shaffer once again improved upon her own school record in shot put by over two feet with her 15.57-meter toss for first place. The senior from Amarillo also finished third in discus with a mark of 46.52 meters.
